I fitted a tip this week and I am running a CAI. I would say its a different sound but its not any louder.

A cold air induction kit and uprated re-circulating diverter valve (Forge 007P) will give you the sound you're after. Also a remap makes it louder. Since I changed from a 007P to a 008P it's gotten louder still. When I fitted my Forge TIP it made no difference.

ive already got an induction cone fitted so thats obviously were i can here my whoosh from but i would defo like it louder.
so a TIP prob wouldnt make any diff but a 007p would?
i did fit a split r on fully recirc but it wasnt any louder than the standard bosch dv so took it straight off.
