Title: MK4 1.8t Flickering dash lights

I have recently bought a Mk4 1.8t and have noticed when I start the car from cold the dash lights including the electric window lights flicker only for about 8 to 10 times and the it is fine. 

Also the fan dips when on number 4 its like you have turned it down to two and back up.

Anyone any ideas I have had a auto electrician look at it today and he thought it was an alternator problem but when linked up to computer that was fine!!!

Have you had the battery tested.

No electrician bit puzzled by the problem
