White Golf GTi VU60 LHV at Cheltenham VW @ 18750
cant get the link to work but looks nice and seems to have xenons, rcd510 f&r park, 18's. Looks like mirror covers and rear diffuser have been painted.
Is it anyones on hear? Wondering if it has any other mods etc before considering to buy?
Thanks

EVO - deal to be done here mate!!!!
-
Do you know if it had any other mods?
-
The dealer that this car is at is the forums dealer contact so I'm sure when he sees your post he will be able to tell you.
-
As far as we know no mods, has had the mirrors painted black like the ed35 and r. 3 previous owners last two on log book are private owners.
Factory xenons
Parking sensors
Rcd510
18 inch Monza shadows
Have you spoke to any one at the dealership yet about it?

That's a lot of owners for a 2 year old car

Does it really matter these days?

IMO absolutely, someone whose had the car and planned to keep it for a while will generally look after it far better and hopefully show it some mechanical sympathy.
Also if 3 owners have passed on a car within 2 years it begs the question is it a duffer, we all know VW can knock these cars out riddled with issues.
Now I'm not suggesting there is anything wrong with this particular car, but new cars generally don't change hands that quickly and as a private buyer I would be wary.

Not sure I agree with that, the first owner was a dealership, so the first real owner is the second owner so in reality it's only had two private owners.

Dealership first owner, that makes me sweat the most, every Tom, Dick and Harry wanting to take the GTi out to run errands and spanking it to within an inch of its life....hmmmm.

That could've happened with ours but with trade plates on? I wouldn't worry too much, that's why we have warranties and EVO has already proved that he's focused on after sales as much as doing the deal.
I hope the author of this thread doesn't get put off by us. My advice is go and have a good test drive, steady cruise and a heavy right foot too and see if has any rattles or obvious issues and go for it. If your that bothered see if the previous owner has left a contact number and ring them. My scirocco would've had three owners by the time it was three years old and that car didn't even have stone chip on it.

I agree, the fact the car still has a VW warranty wouldn't bother me at all about the number of owners.
Drive it and you'll love it. Although personally I wouldn't be buying a MK6 this close to the MK7.

If you're buying used Jim it doesn't matter that its a mk6. The mk7 doesn't look that much different anyway. It'll be a long time before mk7s start to hit the used markets at anything like affordable prices.
The number of owners isn't really a problem. The thing has a warranty and will have been in and out of dealers so shouldn't have any faults. Cosmetically it should be A1 and mechanically there's a warranty and a 30 day exchange period!!
A few of my cars will be only a few years old, now on their third owner at least and will have been cleaned far more often than they've been driven by me and the previous owner which would have been the supplying dealer or VW UK. I'd highly recommend buying one of my cast offs when they come up for sale!!

Yeah that's what happens, I don't see the attraction to demos cars they are thrashed to within an inch of there young life. Wheels kerbed to hell and refurbed so much more prone to white worm

I was the third owner of my GTI at just ove 2 years old, similar situation to what has been mentioned. Had no problems at all with the car until a minor oil leak has just occured as descibed in the oil leak near turbo thread, but i have found it and it seems like a common issue and an easy fix, and could happen to any car.
Had my monza wheels refurbed and they have been better that the original finish for durability, but i suppose it demends who does the job.
I think any car with low mileage really isnt an issue with it being thrashed abit, after all thats what these cars are made for.
