Title: is it better to get a body shop to fit them?
Post by: BobbyT on 12 July 2005, 12:31
Hi, i have just ordered some of those crome strips to go down the centre of my car, add a bit more bling to the old girl! now i know mine has the holes under some strips that have been put on and painted to hide them, how is it an easy job to fit these or should i get a body shop to do it? i dont want to fu#k it up!

If you are talking about the side trips /trim that goes alone the centre of the panels then these strips clip off. I would advice getting replacement clips first from http://www.gpcvwaudi.com/ as they break easy - only 10pence each and they are easy to install into the holes and then clip on the side strips. Overall easy job to do.

clips are always plastic - as metal rusts and then rusts ur body work......!!!

No adhesive needed - when you see the clips you will see why u don't need any adhesive.
