Title: wireing nightmare

he guys wondering if enybody could help me plz iv got mk2 8v gti 1990.              i got the car nt long bk and the fuse box let me down iv herd this is comon enyway few wires melted iv replaced all of them but 1 its a brown wire with red stripe coming from the egnition barle but dnt no wer it goas theres no spark from coil and fule pump wont prime evrythingelse works fine help would be great thanks guys  :undecided: :undecided:

can enybody help me please is this an earth wire or a power wire and is this the reason its nt starting please help people thanks :smiley: so meny viwes no replies ??

As yours is a 90 you should have a CE2 fusebox.
