Title: Hi new to vw

Hi all just got my first vw , always had BMW but fancied a change. Have got a gti 1.8 gti turbo 2001.
Any advise on servicing and things to look out for would be great. I just found out there are different engine model numbers. Does any one know how to find out which one I have as it doesn't say in service manual.
