So basically my Jom shocks are fcuked (fronts) and its only been a month and a half, they move up down left right, all over the gaf, it's only meant to go up and down, not left, right nonsense.
Just wanted to know has anyone else had this same problem.
I have ordered new ones and will be refunded once the old ones have been sent back, just the hassle of taking them on and off

as per jonnyturbo told me when i saw his mota, venom motor sports sell FK's at pretty much the same price and theyre made by weitec as well so probably a better option?
-
Did you thread lock the shock nut?

This is happening to me to, such a pain. Time to upgrade I think!
-
so how would i take apart the shocks ?
and would this void my warrenty ?
could this also be the reason for the vibration when turning right ?
should i call up and cancel my purchase ?
Im in confusion here or should i wait for the new ones get them tightened up and send the old ones back ?

Did you put new bearings and top mounts in when you put the coilovers on?

yup new bearings, new top mounts, im just going to wait for the new ones to come, tighten them before i put them on, should i also glue them or ?
And then send the old ones back for a refund :)
-
Ye with the new ones you are best putting threadlock on not glue? :undecided:
Go to the 5th page on the link i sent you and a member by the name of brammer. He has posted detailed pics of how to do it on a jom coilover.

Refund and get better ones!!!

I'm in the process of ordering new coilovers under warranty. I can't have the car off the road while they inspect the faulty ones. Who knows could take weeks.. I've asked if I can buy the fronts and send the faulty ones back but i haven't heard back from them yet.

i bought mine from venom motorsport, they allowed me to purchase front shocks and once received send back the old ones and i will then receive a refund, btw dubber do you get a bad wobble when taking turns ?
-
I see, hopefully that'll be the same case then, I bought mine from venom to. Yeah when turning right I get like a grinding vibration. When driving normally it just rattles and knocks. At slow speeds its the worst.

omg mines exactly the same, yeah give venom a call and sort this out, i've changed my rear wishbone bushes (powerflex) thinking it was that, took it to Elite Direct to change my passenger bearing, driveshaft and cv joint, they turned around and told me that its none of these its the shocks

Just thought I'd say that the problem was the coilovers. The old ones literally rattled in my hand when they came off! But of loctite on the news ones and touch wood they should be ok!

i had my shocks replaced for new ones and thread locked them straight away, but the hard vibration is still there im guessing its my passenger driveshaft and bearing, so they need replacing asap
