Could a leaky shocker be the cause ?

Could a leaky shocker be the cause ?
Possibly but you'd notice that more as the back end would feel all loose and wallowy, the previous posts are more likely as the rear suspension on a mk3 is pretty simple.

I know my shocker is leaking looked at it today and there's more fluid out of it than in it
-
There you go then best get it changed as its a dead easy job to do and your probably better off changing both sides and the top mounts too then you'll know its all shipshape. :afro:

I would also change the spring plates as they rot through

-
Just a thought but is it a GTi/VR?
-
No it's a 1.4 bog standard
-
Ah..only asking because GTi/VR shocks should be gas filled.
-
Oh right didn't know there was a difference in them
-
Is it a fairly easy job to change the rear shocker what tools will I need ? And how's it done ?
