to check with version you have you need to get the part number either from Vagcom or from physically removing the cluster and looking at the part number that's on the back.  If you have Vagcom then you need to look at module 17 - instruments.  Look at the last number in the part number.  If it's a 5 then you have immo 2, if it's a 6 you have immo 3.

Normally immo 3 clusters have the immobiliser symbol in the speedo and immo 2 clusters have it in the rev counter.

i have read that immo2 was fitted to early 2001 and immo3 after that, also that the immo2 had no immobiliser in the clocks whereas the 3 did, i'm not sure this is 100% true as i have removed my clocks from my 2000 car and i couldn't start the damn thing

i think it's more of a pub gadget myself, great to tell your mates about down the pub but totally useless in real world daily life

unless your fuel gauge is busted

they are immo3 clocks. You need to find out via VAG COM or pulling them out if they are Motometer or VDO

Mine has done 153,000 and that digi clock pictured has gone doolally, just flicks up different numbers randomly, sometimes brighter than other times, one thing I miss from my BMW was the trip computer with miles range, especially at the end of the month when im poor and the car is low on fuel
