I've installed clear lense tailights and front indicators to my daughters Golf to smarten it up a bit.
The front replacement lights came with Fog Lights.
The car has a fog light switch (pull out the headlight switch). All it seems to do is light up the front parker globes, and a seperate small gobe in the tailight cluster behind each red section.
I've had a quick look around the headlights looking for any unused plugs for the fog light option as most German cars always install a full loom whether the options are being used or not. But I couldn't see anything obvious.
Has anyone done this before? Are the plugs there but I just haven't found them?
If they aren't there, I'll probably just wire the fogs into the high beam headlight circuit, but I'd like them to switch on individually as they are supposed to if possible.

You will require a new headlight switch with 2 stages when you pull it out, first stage is front fogs and second stage is rear fog (it also has both symbols on). Also, you will require a front headlamp loom, including fog connections. I paid £30 delivered on eBay for both.

Wiring loom is probably not there either!
And I think on mine its rear fogs first then front and rear fogs on two stage switch as I cant have front fogs only on.
BTW - Like to see pics of your Citroen Safari!

If it didnt come fitted with foglights then front piece of loom wont be there
