So after the recent barrage of adverts, I had a nosy at the GT86 on the website and it looks pretty neat. Its basically the poor man's Nissan GTR
Power is, limited (200HP), but it looks pretty smart, RWD and has a 5 year guarantee :) All for only £25k
I've booked a test drive next week to see what its like  What do you think, am I going mad

I really like the look of it. Apparently topgear will be test driving it in the next series!
-
I really like it but I think it's underpowered. It was reviewed on 5th gear and Jason really liked it except he thought it was underpowered too.
However I'm sure it's nothing a remap and a few other bits can't sort out, and it'd be the best of the bunch as it has a performance orientated chassis and it's rwd.

Jason Plato test drove it on 5th gear and said it handled nicely, looks good inside and out and was very well priced and that the biggest problem was a lack of power and torque from the boxer engine which could easily be remedied i would imagine.
I like it a lot, the only thing i don't like is the wheels which look a bit 'halfords' but that could also be easily remedied.

cheap
underpowered
jap - crap
looks horrible

I saw one today in white and they look very nice although not much noise - was expecting a grunty sound but no different than any other car.
I bet it wont be long before supercharger or turbo kits are on sale
-
How is cheap a bad thing?
-
But I've got the admit, the switchgear unforgivable ... wtf is that clock taken from

Its just a celica replacement, an that was never a beast really was it?

I buy a few cars from Toyota Dealership, The sales manager was telling me that him & some of the other staff took them out on a track,
Apparently it handles really well, The wheels use the same tyres as the Prius !
It does look quite nice when you actually set to look properly at it, They have a Red one in their showroom with Black stripes down the roof & bonnet, Looks well.
Top Gear have given it a good review

Came out on top on the test against a TT & 350z on Auto Express

I saw a nice TDI quattro TT with a fancy standard body kit the other day which really looked tidy.
But I costed it up and at almost £33k - is it worth it ...
