so looking at the car from the front  number 1 would be front left. 3 back left . 4 back right 2 front right. I have it in this sequence and it will not fire. I had taken apart the dizzy to replace the seal and am pretty sure I reasembled it correctly. there is definatly fuel getting through and all the leads are producing a spark. I had forgot to plug the hall sender in when I first started it up and it did make a loud pop backfire type noise. any suggestions greatly apreciated.

With cylinder 1 at tdc the rotor arm is pointing at number 1.

Back right number 1??. That would mean my dizzy is possibly 180 deg out. I'm really confused now

ABF has a locked dizzy. Think it can only go on one way.

Sorted!!! Marked up all the timing marks and the dizzy was 180 deg out. After replacing the seal inside the distributor I had put the thing that slots into the camshaft the wrong way.
