Title: Help Please - Need a recommendation for a restoration on a MK 2

I've finally got back my MK2 that I lent out a few months ago (never again), and want to get it back to a good original spec.
I live in West Herts and am looking for a specialist that can take it to top condition / give it the full works.

Any recommendations gratefully appreciated.

Hi....not too sure if this is a feasible option for you location-wise, but I have heard excellent reports on WagenWheels in Southampton area (www.wagenwheels.co.uk).  They are top people and can give your car a complete job....Ian Green is an extremely helpful and knowledgeable guy too!  If I didn't live in Scotland I'd have my Mk2 down there tomorrow :)

I know a guy in luton that has done everything from rollers to mustangs ,he has done work for me ,he is the mutts.
