Title: 16v gti top end rattle when warm.
Post by: 01664gti on 28 September 2012, 21:48
Hi all

I have a mk2 16v kr which has developed a top end rattle when warm. From cold its fine,I took it to the workshop and they stripped the top and looked at the cams etc. They advised a new cam chain as I has some play in it.They said the camshafts are perfect.

I have just got the new chain but before i take it in to be done I was wondering if maybe I should get a new set of followers or something else as I only want to pay for this to be done once.
