Title: Sell me a Telly!
Post by: Len on 28 September 2012, 12:48
Its about time I upgraded my TV

So you lot out there know more than me so what should I go for?

Screen size = 40 inch max - any bigger will be too large for my room.
I keep looking and best I have seen is a Panasonic Viera, but Samsung not bad.
Dunno to go for LED or LCD.
What about SMART Tv's?

Definitely dont want 3D (I wear glasses)

i would go with led, everything about it is better than lcd, from the power savings, to the better brighter contrast, to the slim size of the tv, and the cost nowadays isnt that huge a price gap, do you have a price point you wanted to stick around?

Get yourself a samsung led smart tv, if youve got the cash you can go for the 3d but imo atm its still overpriced. Active 3d (like the samsung and panasonic) beats passive (like the lg) hands down, but the glasses are expensive. Choose samsung for led or panasonic for plasma - theyre both leaders in their classes.

I have this one:

And for the price its just awesome.

Dont really have a price in mind but around the 500 mark I guess.
As said before cant watch 3D as it dont work with people who need glasses to see the telly!
