Title: Dipstick tube....

The red plastic part on the top of the dipstick tube has broken on my 8v, now its been bodged (as a temp messure) with abit of rubber tube. I just want to be sure its the right length so its messuring right, anyone know how long the red plastic joiner is unbroken???
