Morning everyone ive got a 98 plate mk4 golf gti turbo what oil would i need to buy, is it 10/40 fully?? Thanks

Check your manual bro or google it. Or failing both counts, dump some Mobil One in it  :evil:

I put some 10/40 semi in as the oil was very very bad black and thin so i found out its 5/40 fully but i didnt have the money so just got the above for now then il get the propper one in a couple mths.

Taking shortcuts with oil on turbo is never a good move.

You would better to drain the oil and replace the filter asap.

I'm with Wayne on this. 5/40 Acea a3/b4 for turbo cars is ideal.

Well its gunna have to do for a while skint as with baby due and 2kids but im sure it will be fine for a mth or so i only drive it to work its better than the oil that came out it was like black water.
