Title: mk3 gti 16v engine trouble

has anyone got any tips or procedures ? its idle is up and down, doesnt rev over 5 thousand, feels like theres no power at all :( please help

1. Not revving over 5000 is a timing problem! Either cambelt out by one notch or in some cases distributor.

2. Idle could be vacuum hoses.
