Hi all.
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the slight problem I have.
Basically when I turn my heater blowers on I get a strange noise coming from what seems to be behind the glove box,the noise will only happen when I have my AC running. If I press the Econ button the noise stops! Even though my air blower is still running.
The noise sounds like air is escaping from something.
Have any of you had anything like this before?
Any help will be great lads cheers

Sounds like the air circulation motor has failed.
Sounds like something gargling?
-
Leave you air con off ,use econ mode and get good mpg. Mines been off for 4 years. :smug:

Cheers lads,I could leave the air con off but I like to be cool in the heat. Lol
It's more of a noise as if air is Beeing replaced under pressure, almost like the sound when u let an air bed down.

try replacing your pollen filter
-
Cheers buddy, does the pollen filter not filter none AC air?
-
when your air con is on the blowers still have to suck the air past the filter. However your pump might be tired :undecided:

my gf polo done this on the first day she had it.... but the next day it went..... sorry i was no help

Quick update.
I replaced the pollen filter and the fault is still present. I have discovered that the noise will only occur when sat in traffic for a few minutes, once I drive off again the noise goes within a few seconds!
Anymore thoughts lads?

Got exact same problem, someone on here must know a permanent fix. If it was the blower, are they a mission to replace?

Never used my air con since I had the car, windows open and head out the window always gets my vote
