So this is my first VDub, brought it in 2011 after a long search for specifically a 5 door black turbo with low mileage, traveled half way across the country but found this lovely 1.8 Turbo with only 53K on the clock and full service history etc………….Happy days!!!  :laugh:

The first thing to change was the horrible standard tail lights.
£60 off ebay……winner

Next on the list was de-badge and replace the chrome VW

Got a little board one evening so took apart the front badge and well did this.............

Next was replacement of the side indicators for some tinted ones  :smiley: :smiley:

up next was to make a start on the interior, really did not like to fake wood effect trim  :sick:
so got some carbon and got to work

After a bit I started having second thoughts on the carbon, kinda looked cheep so off it came.
Going for more of the R32 style but not paying stupid money for the trim......... :undecided:

So I got to work and got rid of the standard CD player and got a double din touch screen with hands fee etc  :drool: :drool: :drool:

Right then started yesterday installing some ICE, was stuck at the first hurdle getting the power cable through the firewall. Had a look on this site and others for tips and I've seen people doing some very long winded methods like having to drill through the firewall, one person ran the power cable under the car and into the boot etc, WELL I removed the glove box and hey presto!!!  :grin: pointing at 12 o'clock was a rubber bung about the the size of a 2p coin. Pop it off and a nice hole into the engine bay via the pollen filter. see pic below

Right, had a little problem with my car....been off the road for a few days now waiting for the new cylinder head breather hose had split open. Parts have arrived today so fitting tomorrow.
But best of all my bargain of the year "Powerflow Exhaust" arrived so going to be fitting tomorrow

Right e o then, lots booked and ordered
Booked in for the coolant sensor change next week, then at the end of the month the exhaust will be adjusted to sit right and then the Anni rear skirt sprayed and fitted.

I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT, brought the R32 Limited addition trim in PACIFIC blue, what is the problem you may think???
It's from a EU model so therefor from a left hand drive car eeeeeerrrrrrrrr
Never mind the only part a can't use is the drivers handle but for the price I paid for them I not going to loose sleep.

Got my R32 ABS plastic rep front bumper, the wing clips need to be removed from the original bumper and fixing onto the R32 so pic of it fitted coming soon as well to side skirts
