Post by: Ralphy_GTI on 19 September 2012, 03:33
Hi guys, Ive owned a Mk3 GTI for a while but now im looking for a mk4 1.4/1.6 due to my driving convictions. Any advice on common faults or what to look out for when buying one?

The 1.6 is the better bet, why not look at Polo's they will be cheaper to insure.

I have been told that the 1.4's & 1.6's have whats known as Choc gear boxes?
