Ok another k04 thread
at the minute agu is standard well mapped to around 190?
anyway ive got at the minute for the conversion
audi TT inlet manifold
fuel rail and injectors
ill need the exhaust manifold, down pipe, and oil feed/return plus coolant lines and of course the turbo
now my question is if i want to make around 270hp
will I need other injectors than the TT e.g. saab
will I need a bigger fuel pump?
Is there anything ive missed i have done alot of searching and am trying to plan this conversion to go smoothly
thanks guys much appreciated for any replies ill get :)
-
Probably saab reds id say.
Bigger MAF aswell.
Uprated pump
-
brilliant thanks for the quick reply buddy
what saab are them injectors from
VR6 MAF anygood?
any advice on a decent pump
-
I wouldv kept the AGU manifold and buy saab red injectors.
255 walbro inline fuel pump works great
VR6 maf is cool with 1.8t sensor fitted
-
ahhh i see ill keep my agu manifold then so the saab injectors fit straight in?
any tips on sourcing oil and water lines
-
FInd someone breaking a K04 vehicle or make custom ones.
-
ill find them somewhere
ok link to injectors are these correct?

again thanks for this help its much appreciated

0280150431 - bosch part number
Looks to be the correct ones from a quick google.
Few on UK ebay too ;)

Mate that ecu your intrested in I would leave alone.
Keep your AGU ecu get everything fitted buy a relentless V2 manifold (I think theres a V3 now)
With a K04, relentless mani, saab red injectors, good fmic, atleast 2.5 turbo back exhuast, inline fuel pump and 3 inch badger 5 tip your looking 300bhp custom map with R-tech.
Then consider a Forge actuator to hold on to the boost, Forge 007p and sort the sh!t breather system out with a catch can.
-
Jamie - ECU hes interested in? :S
-
He wants Reesy23's
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=240316.0
Its a AUQ one with a 275bhp map on it running a k03 hybrid.
He is better off keeping his ecu and having a fresh map running a K04.
PS. Im still thinkin about your mate had a few things on recently. Yours still available then?
-
Ahhh, keep the AGU ecu and get a fresh map from r-tech.
This aimed at me: PS. Im still thinkin about your mate had a few things on recently. Yours still available then?
-
It is aimed at you mate
I shouldve drove up to Durham and bought your old car
Wouldve been better off, cost me a fortune back and fore to Nick haha

that set up sounds familiar!

Haha, ECU is still here, but sold pending payment from a guy at end of month.
Might list some more gear now :D
-
Tobys monster spec
Arhhh gutted man, Chris please let me know if it doesnt go.
I think I have a guy who can code the ECU to my car now see
Im away from tomorrow for two weeks in Greece too so wont be on here much just PM me.
-
wow 300 would be brilliant what about internals running this power
-
keep the power below 300lbs
-
cool cant wait for this now
-
What ECU are you talking about Jamie? You know you need to stick with an ME3.8 on your AGU right so can't fit an AUQ/AUM ecu
-
He was intrested in an AUQ one, I dont know if it can be done but its not worth his while if it could.
AUQ's have all sorts of other sensors that AGU dont have.
Best to keep the AGU management and have it all mapped by Nick once fitted imo.
-
AGU to AUM conversion - a fortune. YOur looking at like £700 in parts to swap over easily.
-
yea, it's a bit more than just a few sensors!
it's an entirely different model ECU, some different pins on the plug, almost all the sensors are different, coilpacks are different, the entire engine loom would require changing, as well as the throttle body, pedal box, it's very much not a straight swap.
It's possible, but a lot of work for little gain when Niki can do such a great job of mapping ME3.8
-
I've recently collected all this bits for this conversion. Reckon I've spent about £300-£350 in total in collecting everything needed.
Doing the engine loom and sensor takes about 2 hours to swap and the throttle pedal conversion another 2 hours.
Well worth it if you can map the car yourself as the Me7.5 is far easier at mapping than the Me3.8.
If going to R-tech/B5 or the likes then no point in changing over as they can map the thing just as well regardless of Me3 or Me7
List of things needed for the conversion
ECU 06a906032hn or Hj are ideal
Loom from same car, both parts, drivers and passenger side
Coil packs
Knock sensors
Throttle body
Throttle pedal and harness
Camcover sensor
Map pipe and sensor
Maf and sensor
Lambda sensor
-
I wouldn't have recommended my ecu anyway. It was mapped for a Hybrid of which the setup was being sold as well, much better off getting your own mapped.
For reference, my K04 converted car with:
CM TIP
Stock S3/TT Injectors
Stock Fuel Pump
V2 Relentless Mani
Relentless DP + Decat
Scorpion from Decat back
Wellycooler and 63mm FMIC Pipes
S2000 Filter
made 290bhp / 307lb/ft of torque on a dyno dynamics roller.
About to put rods and a large port on it and it should crack 300. As an AGU also has higher comp rating and large port inlet mani, over 300 (like Toby's) should be realistic.
-
OOO would be interested in seeing how you get on with that.. 300bhp theres a challenge.
You'll need a better actuator as well. stock one wont cut it IMHO

Sorry OP, but: really mate, you don't think the stock one will cut the mustard?
I'm wondering what will give out first in that case, max flow on the injectors or the actuator. I'm hoping it won't need anymore boost, and although I'd like to stick AGU pistons in, I can't be bothered to do the rings, so the change in comp won't happen!
-
dyno dynamics rollers are spot on aswell! same rollers i had mine on
went out in the ^above car^ on saterday!
FUN!!

You went out in the Leon.. The spec above is for my A3 Quattro which has the legs on the Leon, as proved last week..

ah sh!t! never realised u had a a3 quatro!
i dont wana see it! :lipsrsealed: it will make me want another! and i really dont wana :embarrassed:

got a cheap 1 here for you toby

BMW 335i! I'm still holding out
-
interesting so the tt injectors may be ok? if so all id need is relentless mani where can i find one!!! lol

Thats pretty cheap. Used parts I guess?

Nope, no TT injectors for you on an AGU.
-
ok cool. will the saab injectors fit the inlet ok or is there anything i need to do?
-
saab reds will go straight into an AGU inlet and work perfectly with the ECU when mapped to suit too.
TT 380's don't run so well on the ME3.8 ECU's. they can be made to work, but idle and off boost fuelling will never be right.
-
So my inlet manifold I's the wrong way around but my turbos ok? I've fitted my Wellycooler over the weekend and I'm well impressed! I'm thinking turbo back system then a visit to Niki.
-
brilliant thanks for the advice
