Post by: vwwvgolf on 16 September 2012, 09:59

recently i have locked my car with my remote central locking and it will all lock up and windows go up.
a few times recently tho i have come back to the car to find doors unlocked and a window down.
and its not me forgetting to lock it before anyone says lol
any one had similar issues or know whats going on.  a bit worrying having a car thats unlocking its self when it wants

check your wiring, probably wire rubbing against chassis.

All the wiring

Doors (in the black rubber bit) but also maybe behind central electrics and the "conduit" that's where the wires come from the door and go to the back. You'll need to take off the trim to have a good look where it's rubbed naked or broken.
