Hi All,
I appreciate there's quite a few questions regarding this subject, however I'm looking for some help regarding the Fiscon installation, mainly where to get it fitted. Fiscon seems to suit my needs as it seems to integrate with VW Switchgear and RCD510. However if there's a better system I'm happy to consider that. The handsfree kit would be used with an iPhone 4S.
The car is a Sept 2009 GTI fitted with the RCD 510 colour touchscreen.
Thirdly, I am based in the Scottish Highlands/Islands, so I just wondered if anybody knew of anywhere around Inverness where this could be fitted? I'm prepared to travel further afield - however somewhere in Scotland would be good.
Any advice would be great and much appreciated.
I did search through the previous posts - and the last one about a North Scotland installer seems to be from 2010.
Thanks for any help,
Regards,

It's not too hard to fit yourself.
The hardest part is coding it with VCDS.
If you have someone near you with the VCDS software, you could have it in and working in about an hour....it's plug and play.
I ended up doing that because I couldn't find an installer near me.

As said, fitting is easy enough, especially if you follow this brilliant guide http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=151928.0
If you are stuck with coding, I'm sure your dealer would do it for you. He may charge you what seems like a lot, but by the time you've p1ssed about finding someone else and then travelled, the dealer may be the easiest option.

Thanks for the information. I was thinking about DIY, so will possibly go that way.

I'm happy to help out...but it'll be a decent drive for you.
I can code it...or give you a hand fitting it if required...but using the guide, fitting is easy.

Hello Ess_Three,
Thanks for the kind offer, I may need your help - especially with the coding. However I'll ask around at home to see if there's a way to get the coding done closer to home.
I'm around Inverness or further south quite a lot - so I may get a chance to head your way in the next month or two.
Thanks all, for all the good information.
Cheers,

I've had a go at trying to post images from my phone, no joy though. I'll have to wait until I get a chance to try from a PC.
Cheers

The best I can do picture wise for now is the following. I'm at work just now - and work computers filter out photobucket - and I can't seem to paste the correct link from my phone. Probably operator error though.
