Title: RCD 510 iPhone phonebook
Post by: Wabbit on 14 September 2012, 21:36
All

I have just fitted a 7P6 035 730 F Bluetooth module to my Golf 6 and everything works fine but I cannot view my contacts on the RCD 510. I can view all contacts on the DIS and I can view missed and dialled numbers on the RCD510

Would anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
thanks

Mine displays them all as jibberish on my RCD510, fine on the MFD mind. Mine is a 7P6 035 730 G too.

I assume you mean reloading the phone book? if so yes.  I was wondering if its more to do with the phone and how it stores the data.  But then the MFD's ok.

Doesn't the car read the sim card? If your contacts are on the phone, not the sim, maybe that's your problem.

iPhone 4. Not sure of firmware at moment

I had a few problems with my iPhone. Press and hold the setup button for about ten seconds an it will come up with the firmware version.

When I updated mine it sorted out the major issues. Still have some but they don't really bother me.

Using a Galaxy S2 rather than an I phone.  I just figured the RCD510 needs the update.

Thats the RNS mate, he's asking about an RCD, i've never seen anything about updating an RCD cos i could do with my RVC being recalibrated but i don't think that can be done either!!
