Reading online it appears to be safe, providing you don't go to close tithe reactor!

Think I will look at going next year! Looks ossum! Seen some guys going on 28dayslater going on the 1st of oct! Worked out about £360 for 4 day trip!!

Would any of us forum folk do anything like this?!

I spent alot of time with children from Chernobyl this summeras part of a scheme that runs in my part of the country. It broke my heart to hear their stories, regarding radiation and shortened life expectancies and the premature deaths of most of their parents

I have pleaded with the family (who live about 100km away and did when it all went wrong!) but they have all refused saying they don't trust it's that safe

The family may have a point as it's all us westerners that want to visit (and play some modern warefare re enactments).... and also we will pay good money to go which is what they desperately need  :undecided:

Nature is reclaiming it fast, youcan no longer go in the buildings as its unsafe.

I'd love to go, but it's a trip I'll be making after I've got kids or at least got some healthy sperm in a bank somewhere

there's a UN border controlled buffer zone between Northern and Southern Cyprus near Famagusta, during the invasion/liberation of 1974 people had to get out quick smart.. there is still washing on the lines and lights were left burning for years, new cars in dealerships etc..

i drove alongside it one day and it really was fascinating, all the designs and styles of the day were really obvious... like 70's stylee gates and porches.. unfortunately every few yards there is a nice picture of a chappie with a gun saying no photography or you will be shot. The Turkish Army don't really fcuk about when it comes to things like that.

My family used to live in famagusta on the camp there.

My Nan and Grandad went back a few years ago and it broke my Nans heart seeing their house demolished and everything fenced in / off limits.
