apparently, it's used to deactivate the alarm incase you leave a pet in the car etc.

not sure about your head unit, but since installing mine, it doesnt turn the sub off when the car is off.

check if yours stays on?

Leaking rear wiper motor - making the micro switch in the boot latch wet and causing the alarm to go off and making the battery flat ?

i just realised actually, since my sub was installed, it would set my alarm off.

one night my alarm kept going off at 3 in the morning, and it did it every half hour for a few times.

went out to check the car, turned out the sub was going off randomly! had to make a switch to turn it off!

i just used a switch from halfords, and stuck it in the rem cable. then mounted it in one of the blank buttons by the hazard switch.

i have a vibe sub too. there should be like a square symbol that lights up behind the sub, on the amp!

do it properly, the stereo will have an ignition live which you run a wire to the remote terminal of your amp.

a switch would work but if you forget to flick it your stuck again
