Hi guys, help needed haha
Just been given an iPhone. But the girl Who gave it away said not to wipe the iCloud aswell.
If I use the restore option in the phone this won't wipe iCloud will it?
Last thing I need is that lol.
Cheers for any help!

i think it would.. but then again it would be silly if it didn't as when you start to update your phone all the changes will start appearing on her cloud devices.
you could change the cloud setting in settings/icloud and then delete account from the phone first so that it didn't wipe whatever was in the cloud first
disclaimer: I am only taking an educated guess here.. i take no responsibility for any loss of data from actions taken as a result of this post, might be best to check with an apple genius at an apple store first?

I assume you mean putting it back to factory settings ready for you to start again? If thats the case i don't think it delete's the data on the cloud file, just the phone, otherwise you would need to keep your old iphone when you get a new one, or have i got the wrong end of the stick? :embarrassed:

Yeah. I'm giving it to the mrs. So wanna wipe it!
There is the option in the phone To delete account but I don't know I that's Just of the phone or not!
Google answers seem to vary?

I wouldn't delete the account! If anything it'd be restore factory settings, don't touch the cloud account.

It does say off this phone though?
Gonna get her to forget this phone first and see what happens?!

isnt the cloud attached to the "itunes"account? :undecided:

log out of our itunes account from the settings menu. Once you do that you can delete the data on the phone as it is no longer tied to your icloud account. I think. That would be logical.
