Post by: ErikGTI on 11 September 2012, 17:10
Hi guys....

Being gone for nearly two years I am back again...
Due to unpleasant circumstances...CAR STOLEN

But today a lucky day....ORDERED A NEW ONE

I have nearly the same one...afew more options..as a matter of fact I have all the possible options..

I must admit I am in love with the GTI....

I open this topic in order not to polute others so any questions I have I will post here (unless there is a topic)

For the record I have ordered

Carbon grey
ABT Tuning (stage I)
DSG
Leather
Sunroof
RNS510
Monza Shadows
Xenons
Camera Park Distance
Park assist (for my wife )
Etc etc etc

Very nice spec, so what the waiting time in your neck of the woods?

ABT Tuning? Was that a dealer option...

Hi...

Week 43

ABT tuning is a lease company demand if you suggest tuning at all to them....

I had it on my previous one....once you have felt that power there is no living without...

Okay first question...in the dutch brochure they state....taillights cherry red for GTI as well as the R

Are those these days the same.
I always thought the R had the ledlights darker

Congrats mate! 8)  If it's an Ed35 you've ordered then they come with the dark tails like the R but if it's a standard GTI then they get the lighter coloured ones.

Are they still taking orders for the Mk6 with the Mk7 book orders just about to open? I know the GTI/GTD hasn't been released yet but they won't keep that part of the factory open just to do the old MK6 GTI's?

I'm sure Evo said October was the cut off for the last Mk6's. You might get the last one ever made

Well you are right, also in the Netherlands you have to be quick on the draw to still get the 6....
I am lucky since my first impressions about the 7 are not so thrilling...

Be there soon! Until then, leep itching.

BTW the golf spec looks better than any Bicycle I've ever seen in Holland.  (Lived it Utrecht for a bit)

Hi Doc and the rest,

In case you like my bootlogo I have made it for everybody available on the bootlogo downloadsite for the RNS 510 with the proper .png ext so rather easy to import for you.
Feel free and have fun

Here here! I want to know if there are any differences between your old one and new one in terms of build? :smug:
