This morning as I awoke from my slumber, I was greeted by my next door neighbour poking his head through the window and shouting "Oi fat boy, there's a Golf on fire down the road". Needless to say I was up like Usain Bolt, boxers on, belly out, panicking like f**k, trying to unlock my front door...... I ran outside to be greeted to this,

I couldn't help but let out a huge sigh of relief. But that relief soon to turned to empathy when I realised it was someone else's pride of joy. Luckily the owner had TPFT and we quickly started making jokes with the fire crew, that really it had saved him the job of torching of it himself
The owner went on to explain that as they drove down the road he noticed a feint buzzing noise from the engine bay, but no discernible problem, he carried on driving for a further mile  before he noticed a musty, smoky smell, with that recognition smoke started to bellow through the glove box and vents........and the rest is history!
Another one committed to the scrapyard heaven

Monster graphics on a car are a clear sign of a stupid owner.
Fire probably caused by dodgy stereo wiring.

Other than a world record cabbage being grown, tis the most exciting thing to have happened in the village since the Yanks came to stay in WW2, that's why the coffin dodgers are delirious
Please feel free to move the thread Guy.

Can't disagree with this. But some people are poor as fook and that's their way of individualising their ride, sad, but true. Unless he has shares in Monster, somehow I doubt it.
By the way, how can you tell its a Tdi? (number plate checker?)

Well that's a meant'll image I don't want again
But na in all seriousness glad It wasn't yours pal, it clearly wasn't his pride & joy if he was considering torching it himself...

'twas a joke about him torching it himself. Tbh I'm just glad no one was hurt, still f**ked up to wake up too!
Sorry for the mental picture, at least the tackle wasn't in full swing

The guy who owned this Golf is not having much luck. I saw him locally about a week ago and he had just bought a grey Bora tdi, totally mint condition and low mileage, he was chuffed to bits with it.......I saw it stuffed into a wall outside the police station on Thursday night.
