Once a year I get to go play taking photos at a festival.
I didn't have much time on site this year, due to car and family commitments, but had a wander around the site on Thursday night, shooting with my Galaxy SII. This is something I really enjoy, because it is a good camera and you have the challenge of 'shooting with what you have' which is something I'm enjoying a lot. I was in with the family on Saturday PM, too, with the SLR and then there's a big heap of images from Sunday night, when I was in on my own:

I'm really pleased with the Sunday night shots.
Video of Friendly Fires to come, which I'm also quite pleased with the framing of.

Loads of quality night shots  I really like the human juke box machine - very quirky!

I think I will go to this next year with the wife and make a holiday out of it! Is the festival near your holiday cottages?
-
It's a great event. It's about 10 miles from the holiday cottages, but there's regular buses, or if you're not going to get totally faced you can come and go from the car parks with relative ease.

Absolutely gutted to have missed this year, the line up was superb and it always has one of the best festival crowds this country has to offer.

did you watch the wall of death??
-
No, but the dude at the top of the enormous erection at Arcadia was bloody impressive.
