Title: bit of a problem

i was driving today and went over a bit of a bump and as i did my car like died....didnt cut out but all gauges went down as if i turned it off but went back normal as the engine was still on....it has done it a couple of times but only wen i hit a big bump....

any ideas?

my money would be on ignition switch in particular since lights/dials on the dash died in addition to engine.
second best bet is something's loose in your central electrics.

Sounds like the crank sensor wires earthing

crank sensor wiring would not cause ALL gauges to go down as ignition is still on - you should still see temp and petrol level at least. hence my money is on ign switch or connection (central electrics)

I agree
