Title: Ecu changes.
Post by: Paulc33 on 09 September 2012, 20:51
Little bit of info wanted.

I have a arz 1.8t golf and have been offered a remapped ecu from the same car and engine code.
Is it possible to plug it straight in and run on my car?
Or is it more complicated than that?

i cant remember if ARZ came with immo2 or immo3 clocks (probably both just to confuse things!)

if its immo2 then its a simple 30 second job with vagcom to adapt the ecu to your immobiliser. if its immo3 you'll need something like tacho or commander to retrieve SKCs because you'll have to program the keys again.
