hi guys im so happy to be a part of this great forum. i recently purchased a damaged 05 mk5 gti 3dr and i am looking forward to sharing my progress with you all and picking up some valuable info too

thanks mate its been a slow process so far i bought it last months, its cat d front pass damage, a guy who i know but is not a close mate was drunk and decided to drive and smashed it!!! he had it parked up for a good six months and i heard about it last month and thought why not? its in the garage at the moment but here are some pics i took when i went to collect

nice fun project for me, any advice guys would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Euro car parts? I don't know if they can help. But i've just ordered a load cleaning products, oil and filters from then and got 25-30% off!

Don't discount these lads. They are bloody helpful and cheap as chips....

Stupid drunk driver, why the hell wud risk your own and others lives and then be racked with guilt for the rest of your life if such a tragedy happened...plus the fact you wud lose your license...

Makes my blood boil just thinking about it, GRRRRRRRR!! :angry:

Amen to that GTD. I had a friend who got hit by a D&D and he didn't stop, my friend lay there dying for six hours. People who commit these offences are scum in my opinion!

i managed to pick up the full rad pack from sanburn in coventry for £300 inc vat.the engine wiring etc should be done by the weekend then it should br ready for paint

guys quick question the front slam/panel on the gti is it the same for all mk5's? also im going now to get the car out of the garage and taking it to the sprayers

i know its been a while and no update but its out of the sprayers and i took a few snaps of it in my driveway. still have some bits and bobs to do but its all fun from here on  :cool:
