I have found the culptit! of my revs dipping when cold
I disconnected the electrical connection for the warm-up regulator.
And she drove perfect, no dipping what so ever, the engine even seemed alot smoother and seemed to pull better in lower revs in higher gears!
So is it the warm-up regulator that's knackered? i thought that disconnecting the wires would not have an effect on the mechanical side of the warm-up regulator?
Cheers

its only the little electrical element that's knackered. by running it disconnected it simply uses the engine block temp to warm itself up rather than the electrical element. so u wont lose any performance or anything like that
-
So is it ok to leave it unplugged? or should i replace it?
And if it's knackered how would it cause all those problems like the revs dipping to 400rpm?
-
Any ideas anyone?
-
leave it unplugged till you manage to find a 2nd hand one, and then just replace it. £25 2nd hand and only two bolts holding it onto the side of the block
wont cause any probs being unplugged.

Cheers mate,
Regarding the two fuel lines going to it, just let the fuel drain out and then re-attach?, just afraid of an airlock or something (being over cautious again) :)
-
aye just unscrew them and let any petrol dribble out. no chance of airlocks or anything like that
also, check n see has the brass cap been drilled on the back of it. if it has then someone has been tinkering with the fuel pressure - the infamous warm up reg mod
-
Thanks!

Changed this today, made no real difference! :(
The brass cap had not been tinkered with!
I have heard that each WUR may have the pressure set up differently, do i need to adjust anything to compensate?

What What What another mod I don't know anything about! a good mod (factory recall) or bad mod (wonder what this does)
