Title: What are the best bike carbs to run on my 1.8 gti engine on my mk2 golf?

Hi fellow golfers :smiley: i have a mk2 with a 4 pot 1.272cc engine, Thecylinder head has cracked and piston rings are destroyed on two of the pistons. so i was thinking of putting a 1.8 gti out of a mk3, im hoping i can bolt my mk2 gearbox strait up to it but not sure if its just a pipe dream. and im also not sure if i would need to change the engine mounts suspension etc. i would also love to run it on bike carbs but im not sure what are the best to use for performance?? any help and advise is much appreciated
