Hi,
My boot lock is seized and doesn't lock with the central locking. I have removed the trim panel and removed (broke) the rusty circlip that holds the barrel in place but I still cannot get the lock off. I have sprayed WD-40 over it for the past 2 days and even used a punch and hammer last night but still nothing. I have a new lock coming and need the old one out.. Any ideas or tips?
Thanks

Lift up the hatch and pull off the plastic cover.
You will then see the lock mechanisms.
You will have to pull off the connecting rods.
Lock and push button lifts and slides outwards.

I have all of the above done but the lock will not slide out.. even with a punch and hammer!!

The lock surround is only plastic so you must be doing something wrong!
Try taking the number plate light cover off on the outside, screws are up in under,
Then you can lever it out.

Should the push button and lock on the boot come out? there is a plastic clip around the lock barrel but it won't shift..
I watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPRUwggyqBY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPRUwggyqBY)and at 1.48 he lift the plastic bit off, mine is stuck solid.. I tried to remove the outer trim but all the torx heads are rounded..
