Hi all I'm a mate of stainsys , recently got me a mk3 gti, needs a lil tlc but I love it!! It's pretty standard at the mo, just badge less grill and wheels painted white (as it came to me), I've got a few ideas, but first to sort out the few issues it has , here's a pic, what do ya think?

Not if its an 8v....

"how can I make my 8v faster?"
-
 oh yeah.
Don't think iv ever asked that. Although my golfs are pretty much the slowest cars iv owned and were never bought for speed as they will never be propper fast.

Guys, how do I make my 8v faster?
Nice car, not sure about the cream plan, looks good as is!
-
Thanks guys. I'm not sure which route to go down with this one, all I kno is , it needs to get slammed!! Need to get it on coileys soon as! Lol, as for going faster, f**k that, to me this feels fast as I came from a 1 litre 4 speed polo lmao
-
Yeah I bet it does feel fast compared to that
It's a very good step up the VW ladder.
I love the gti 8v.
And so easy to work on.
Look forward to seeing the progress of this car.
-
I need to get the few issues sorted out on it really first :/
-
Am I the only one that thinks it already looks lowered?
-
Agreed, it does look lower than a standard ride height.
-
The arch gap does seem a bit less than standard! you sure it isnt on lowering springs or a shock set already?
looks nice though! not sure on the white wheels if i'm honest but thats me.
-
I'm in MK too and have parts about and code reader etc. So if you need any help give me a shout.
Car looks nice though, think I saw it round Bletchley way the other day.

That already looks lowered tbh
-
That looks like a -30mm drop.
-
Cheers dan!. I could do with a hand. And its sitting on vr6 springs. But as the vr6 is heavier it sits higher at the front. And I wanna drop it like 100mm lol ;)
