Hi there im new to the forum and im impressed with what i see, just wondering if anyone could help with my problem on my golf it has started making a knocking noise under load. It has a misfire and i have changed the coil packs and put new plugs in and the problem remains. I had the car plugged in and came up with error code 00561 which is bringing me to the idea of lambda or maf, was just wondering if anyone had ever had this problem and if so what was the results. The golf is running standard and all oem equipment and it is an agu engine would be greatful for any help thanks Jay

Hi and welcome.
regards to your issue mate i would jack one front corner of your car up at a time and have it sat on an axle stand while you get one of your mates to put the car in gear
you look around for any noises or obvious movments ect.
i had this with my mk4 but the last owner hadnt tighted the gearbox mount up
sounds like it could be a mount or maybe a cv joint. hard to say without more info about the issue tho.
cheers.

The problem was the head mate gave up the ghost and had gone over 3 cylinders so had new head bolts cam belt tensioner water pump re con head and a few pipes had gone down aswell, she wasnt even making 50 psi on 3 cylinders and she still drove to the garage just shows how strong these engines are and she is running like a dream now
