Hi guys,
Been having idle issue on my AGN for some time, decided to take some calls of action to sort it out. Whilst sitting there on idle i can feel the whole car jolt sometimes, when your looking at the engine itself you can see it move, and its quite violent.
I've had a flat spot between 5-6k rpm so etc etc - So port of call was first the MAF - Changed it for a genuine bosch MAF - Also cleaned the TB out yesterday with carb cleaner.
Flat sport has gone but engine jolting and slight missfiring is still there... No codes either.
Thought it was a blow in my exhaust at first but had a completely new system put on manifold back.
Any ideas?

lambda sensor perhaps? i had this problem but as soon as i cleaned out my TB it went now running smooth as anything when i bought my AGU the first thing i did was change the MAF,lambda sensor and full service and clean TB and also try running a decent bottle of injector cleaner through it? REDEX pehaps? hope this helps

Alright mate sweet,
I'll run some redex through tomorrow, would lambda throw up a code? It feels better with the clean tb and new maf but still not perfect.
-
i put a bottle threw my gti and it felt loads better :) and the lambda sensor doesnt always throw up a code without doing data logging on your engine, i got my lambda sensor from NTK for £70 and it made my car run a lot smoother with having a new lambda sensor :) hope you get sorted, and if all else fails you could try changing spark plugs see if that helps ?

I have this with my AUM, however I only find i get this strange idel issue after giving it some and I have no idea why its doing it ether :(
-
Right new Bosch lambda, NGK sparks and 500ml of redex on its way!
I'll let you know what happens
-
Do you know if you have one or two lambdas :undecided:
-
my AGU only has 1 lambda sensor :) 1998 model
-
Got one on my AGN :)

and the lambda sensor is just before the cat on the exhuast down pipe :) hope it all gets sorted for you mate
