Mk2 golf is still here.. Olympic shifts have meant i bought a new car as i was depressed working 8 days of 12 hour shifts with 1 day off..
I am now the proud owner of a Astra 1.9 CDTI 888 Stage 3... 230bhp.. 360 ft/lbs torque.. pics etc to follow..

was alcon 1s we used sure its was near 1400quid :sad: but was a decent car

Toby you know me mate... I work my arse off im averaging 1 day off every 8-9 days at the moment.. working 12+ hours a day...
The Astra will be staying for the moment and the Starlet will eventually be sold once its finished...
I still have priorities.. I have my own flat with the missus and she has a child so im not exactly rich by any means just like to have something to enjoy in my down time from work and family life..

Also the mk2 is full of parts ready to fit to try and get it roadworthy but literally no time to fit any of them :(

tell me about it, been doin 12 hr days for about 2 years, and once a month of 24 hr call out! which has been mad!
tbh iv realised i dont need a car atm, so saving the pennies to buy something special! keep looking @ RS4's! :\

Ive done 20k in it in the last 11 months and its touch wood been faultless but now it will die on me and il have to drive the dreaded 257k pug estate my old mk4? Astra van on the other hand was in the garage every month

ive been reading on vx owners and gearbox is good for 400 ft/lbs apparantly with no issues
