Title: Best Monza 2 18" Reps?
Post by: HA54SYM` on 31 August 2012, 09:34
Hi all,

Whats the best Monza 2 18" reps available?

Ie they look as good and as close to the originals?

Just wondering if its cheaper to buy a new set, or get ours re-furbed?

Dave

Get them re-furbed, for sure.
The quality of the genuine wheels is so much better...stronger and lighter too.

Diamond cut reps wont even last a winter.

I bought what were supposed to be the best replica RS8's for my Leon 10 years ago. They looked stunning and seemed really good at first, but as soon as the salt got to them, they were shot on no time, dispite being sealed then cleaned at least twice a week.

If you think white worm on the originals is bad, it's nothing to how bad reps will get in a very short time.

+ 1 as the others have said.

Also there is a safety and insurance factor to be considered when buying reps.

Stay well clear of reps imo, i've had some polished dish reps before and like it's been said they didn't last the winter.

You'll also notice difference in handling and MPG with poor reps.
