Title: Can you get new steering arms ?
Post by: spudboy6 on 30 August 2012, 19:55
I want to do another 4wheel alighnment on the golf but the last time I did my alignments threads on the steering arm adjustment was nackered ! Only just managed the adjustment last time let alone this time .

So can I get the steering arms out the rack and change them , just to clarify there the arms between the rack an ball joint

Also anyone point me in the right direction of which are the correct parts for my car?

1.8 8v 1995/6

Let's hope it's not a new rack !

Good news that they are available !

Have to see if I can get some now and if both sides are the same ect or if there's an o/s or a n/s

Are you referring to the track rod arms?

Yes, they are easily available, they are not overly expensive (I have replaced both sides on my golf at least once, you are looking about £20 for the arm and about £10 for the track rod end at a rough guestimate) and yes they are sided.
