Post by: ryanbrook on 30 August 2012, 15:34
Will a dirty throttle body cause a VAG-COM error code. Because i have code: 00533 - idle speed regulation. Because its revving by itself so thinking if this is the problem

Get yourself a can of carb cleaner from Halfrauds, a rake of cotton buds, and a spare half hour. It really is a piece of pish to do. I do mine every 6 months just to keep on top of it. The first time I did it, I dont think it had ever been done before that. Went for a drive when I was finished and I was shocked by the difference. So much more responsive, and far smoother. Get it done!

Agreed. Mine was causing me idle problems too, gave a it a good clean and it sorted it.
