Title: tdi air filter

ive been toying with the idea of getting an aftermarket pannel replacement filter k&n or simular are these worth having as ive had mixxed views although a mechanic i know said get one as they are good for the golf tdis and may also help my mpg whats your views and what make is best to get

Had a Pipercross filter on my 130.  It made a bit more noise
