Surely you'd just need to puncture a hole through the lining and get a small nut and bolt, then job done!

So you could just tuck it under the headlining?
That's my kind of install!

The ones that tuck under the headlining are not Mk4 ones...

The mk2 ones clip over the leading edge of the roof lining.

after fitting mine, i think it would be better to flatten the big centre bulge and leave the smaller outer clips in tact, then puncture the head lining in the right place, small nut and bolt, and jo done..

hint take out the light and you can just reach the top of the bolt and fit the nut, be aswell to use a decent size washer also...

I test fitted the TT one I got and folded it under the the headlining just to see. Will fit properly when I retrim the headlining!
