Title: Very sad. Please help spread the word
Post by: JulesS3 on 29 August 2012, 09:13
This is starting to get some momentum but needs to pick up. I'm awaiting my registration on the forum to see about setting up a hashtag to get it on twitter, until then can you post this on forums you use if it has not already.

Thanks

I wouldn't go in the bus!   Anyway, I'm not talking about me, I'm talking about us, as a forum. There's some decent cars on here that a young boy would appreciate.

Recent update from the OPs link

FOR NOW WITH A NEW VENUE ARRANGED ZIPPY HAS DECIDED TO PUT A CAP ON THE NUMBERS TO 500 CARS UNTIL THE SIZE OF THE LAND IS CONFIRMED

Can you all please post this on all relevant sites please.

and then

With all due respect, this can't be capped. This has gone viral and 500 has already been hit. The car community has come together as one to make this boys dream come true. This is going to snowball into an event that I can see making national news...
It will be impossible to cap due to the nature of the event and the reason behind it... Nothin has ever bought a community together this fast...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family

Also do we recon its worth contacting supercar clubs around the uk with a link? Most of there forums are completely shut down for obvious reasons but they do have contact pages.

This is an enquiry e-mail via http://www.lamborghiniclub.co.uk/ from:
Sam Marriott <sammarriott@live.com>

Essentially this is flying around the web at the moment and i'm taking it upon myself to email the supercar clubs of the UK to make the event truly magical, here is the original forum thread...

Well I think the way this is going it won't need much help!... I'm starting to wonder where on earth this will end up being hosted!

Nice one... I think this is now currently without a suitable venue...  I foresee road closures!

Which estate is this then as scooby net did try to cap the numbers to 500 when it was going to be at the estate in Meltham near Huddersfield?

We went, it was a lovely day weather wise and loads of cars of all kinds turned out

They were collecting as well so hopefully the day raised lots for the charity too.
