Used them on the Mk3 and they were excellent
-
BEST.TYRES.EVER!

what about Vedestran? only asking as they'll be the new boots for my new wheels next yr
-
Rain sports are the only tyre I'll have!
-
For the price I cant fault them. If I was feeling rich id still buy Michelin Pilot Sport 3's though

Ran them on the MK4 and currently have a set on the Audi.
Very good tyre for the money and the fronts on this set have lasted longer than the previous Michelin PS2's........

Most of my mileage is motorway so not really under any undue stress.....apart from 320lbs ft torque

I know 2 people with these on and having been in their cars they are incredible in the wet and great value for money, but don't last for a great amount of miles.
-
Great can get 2 fitted for 200 notes getting ps3 on the back
-
I'd have to so rubbish had 4 fitted to friends 1series car was all over road on motorway took car back to tyre place who fitted they replaced them free with continentals. Drove the car myself was dangerous and down to tyres fine when replaced.

That's just confusing to try and understand what you mean

 +1
though i kind of get it, continentals were better than the unisport ones? :undecided:
-
Yeah but the decent ones are silly money I spoke to few peeps and uni come highly rated
-
i've had pilot sport 3s before, because they were rated higher than the continental sport contact 3s on tyrereviews.co.uk.
they're great, but imo, they're not worth the extra money you pay over uniroyal rainsports.
-
what it was side walls were to soft car felt dangerous 60mph up, got them swopped to conti's all cool. Even tyre man said there just cheap tyres.
-
you also get that with stetch though thats why its highly recommended not to stretch if your a bit of a racer lol i think you could get away with a 45 profile and not a 40? correct me if i got that wrong though. stiffer walls mean better handling and cornering, definatly noticed when i tried out my mates one 18's and stretched like a condom, no hard cornering as it felt like the tires would ping off or role onto the rims :undecided: though come to think of it, it could just be that the only mod he had were the wheels and the spacers

Great tyre.
Took 250bhp through 2 of them perfectly fine and stuck well to the road. Good in the wet aswell. Id recommend them.
