Think I must have used just over a meter when fitting mine threw the passenger footwell and up to the drivers air vent.

Be very carefull but drill a hole in the bulkhead, that way it will be shorter

About 3~3.5m of vacuum pipe which is just T'd off the FBR, reads how it should and no problems. Not the worlds best route I took but it works spot on with 1bar boost on the k03 and about 18ish overboost.

That just seemed the easiest way at the time lol, didn't think of the bonnet release, but yeah any spare hose always comes in handy tbh.

thanks for all the replies guys, suffice to say i was having a few bevvies at the time and yet again arguing with my mate about boost routes for this that and the other, will be taking it bonnet release route if everything else fails and i'll have a mechanic watching of me as i do it as i'm still a bit wet behind the ears with the engine bay...but on a plus note i fitted my air filter easy peazy!!!  :lipsrsealed:
