Get some good protection on it once the paint has fully hardened, regular gentle washes, top up protection as needed.

How long should paint take harden out of interest?

Megs should be ok. Best to get some paste wax and put it on, that way it will harden and possible provide more protection over liquid/spray waxes which megs tend to do more of.

Don't drive it and don't wash it!

Look into Ceramic coatings, which offer some scratch and UV resistance like Ceramishield or Gtechniq C1.

if you're looking at Gtechniq products I would go for something like EXO...
